Hi!  Welcome to the home page of iiiionly and Darcy. 

I assume, if you’ve found our site, you’ve already been introduced to the universe that is Stargate fan fiction; if not, and you haven’t a clue what Stargate fan fiction is, then you’re either in for a big surprise, or a fun-filled afternoon of reading and video watching. 

Either way, we hope you’ll play with all the buttons, cruise the site, read a story or two, watch a video or three, and if you’re so inclined, leave fun-filled feedback on our message board.  

But before you do that, will you indulge me for just a moment?  I want to share a little about how this site came into being, and thank all the folks who had a hand in creating it.  Feel free to skip right over this part and head for the good stuff if you have no desire to read my acknowledgements.

I’ve been hanging out here in this universe for about two years now, and I’ve discovered, through the process of learning how to post, what a list is, etc., that I’m about the most technically challenged individual in the galaxy.  But, I did try my hand at website building, and came to the rapid conclusion I’d much rather be writing than trying to figure out how to do all this techie stuff.  So I gave it up as a bad deal in the hopes that some day, somehow, a good faery would wave her wand over me and I’d suddenly be able to translate all those 0’s and 1’s into some kind of understandable language. 

And then, a month ago, seemingly out of nowhere, a plot bunny suddenly appeared and moved itself right in to my bunny barn.  Since it was a song fic plot bunny, it required an email to my good friend, Darcy, who listened to the song and agreed to try to vid it for me.  By the time I returned to that bunny, the darn thing had grown to the size of a Wallace and Grommet Were-Rabbit, and was holding all the other bunnies’ hostage until I agreed to write it. 

The first draft was done in a week and a half, and two days later the video was finished as well.  It was love at first sight; the story and the video refused to be parted. 

And now comes the wonderful series of friends who so graciously offered various components that became pieces of not only the Were-Rabbit plot bunny story, but this website as well. 

My friend, and fellow author, Cancer, offered to host the story on her website, but there wasn’t enough space to house the video too.  Another friend, and fellow author, annejackdanny, responded to my cry for help by offering to host the video on her website.  In the process, both Cancer & annejackdanny, created beautiful manips that go along with the story, If I . . . , found on the SG1 Stories page of this website.

Darcy’s fabulous video and the story were insistent – we go up together, or not at all.  And suddenly the urge to have my own website was back full force; but alas, no faery. 

Instead, I encountered my very own fairy godmother.  She connected me with the multi-talented, award-winning-author, Jmas, who is also a friend, though I had no idea she did website design for hire!

Jmas is not only the architect of this beautiful space, she graciously agreed to maintain it for me as well, and ultimately, though I’m still clueless about all those 0’s and 1’s, a good faery did wave her wand over me, just not in the way I expected. 

Isn’t that the way it often happens when the universe kisses you?

So, because of a story and a video that refused to be parted, Darcy & I have become partners in this wonderful new website.  Our thanks to Jmas, especially, for her talented efforts on our behalf, and special thanks to authors, annejackdanny and Cancer, for their contributions to   If I . . .

I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the contributions of the incredibly generous friends and Stargate family who took me under their wing as a fledgling writer and gave me a safe place to learn and grow, and eventually launch from – the Camp Stargate Gang!  Devra, JoaG, DebA, OneofAradia, Babs, & Darcy – I love you all to pieces!

So, again, welcome to our home page!  Darcy and I hope you will enjoy many happy hours of watching, listening, and reading, and that as the site continues to grow and add videos and stories, you will come back again and again.
